II MMO Technical Conference: The role of Transport Authorities in the sustainable management of Public Transport.
Pamplona (November 2005)
The existence of the PTA demonstrates the need for integration between administrations to combine actions in transport and mobility matters on the one hand, and territorial and urban development on the other hand.
The emergence of new legal instruments is shown that is not enough to make statements: you have to give managers the right tools to do their work and in that sense, the existence of mobility laws and urban development strategies, include the philosophy of integration, putting, further, time and resources to the various actors to carry them out, while major investments are undertaken in the public transport sector.
